Beautiful traditional toy for hours of fun!

My little girl had this for Christmas last year when she was four and she absolutely loves it. The caravan is made from a sturdy plastic, and is delightful, full of olde worlde charm. It comes with loads of tiny plastic accessories: plates, pans, tins of beans, table, chairs, hanging baskets, knives and forks, bucket, etc but these do all store within the caravan so you've got a fighting chance of keeping the whole thing together. The caravan has little beds in the roof, a cleverly designed toilet, and a working light (don't forget the batteries). You'll need a family to go with this of course.
These toys are not cheap, but they really are worth the money, and I'll be getting my soon to be five year old daughter something else from Sylvanian families for Christmas this year! I'm certain that these beautiful toys will be played with for a good few years!
very pleased with this

i was amazed when i saw this toy in the shop as i have never seen a gypsy caravan toy before! it is really good value for the price and i think it is lovely the way it has a toilet, table and chairs, beds, sink and cooker, pots and pans and cutlery. everything also stores away very neatly so you can put it away so the peices don't get lost. my suggestion is that you buy a family with it or it is impossible to play with unless you have a family already. however, it is a lovely toy and very well made, although there are a lot of small peices for younger children to loose so i would reccomend it for over 6 year olds

Typical Sylvanian brilliance. I guess the actual build is the same as most sylvanian models, very good quality, quite sturdy (except some small parts which need a bit more care) but what makes this model special apart from the romantically idealistic idea of a Gypsy Caravan is the detail of the accessories which although they're similar to other models available, really add to the play value. The caravan itself has a wonderful fold away toilet complete with seat and lid, a working light although the switch is in a slightly awkward place on the bottom between the wheels. The cupboards inside have little drawers to put away the dinner plates. It has a sink and hooks on the wall to hang saucepans and other kitchen tools all included with the caravan. Also included is a set of two chairs and a table. the chairs can be folded like deckchairs and stowed under the floor via a trapdoor. The table can be laid with a full set of cutlery, plates and tea/coffee pots with little cups, your furry friends will want for nothing. The picture of the caravan is nearly always shown with the badger family which are NOT part of the set however you do get a lovely horse with bridle to take your chosen family on an adventure. Very very highly recommended.
excellent

I got this on my 9th birthday. I was pleased with it and I had always wanted one. I had a rabbit family to ride on it and its great. I enjoy playing with it and I have also got the canal boat and the bakery. Great fun.

My 7 year old daughter loves this, great fun and all the furniture that you need come with it. Only gripe would be you have to buy the family seperate but then you can buy whatever family you like i suppose. All round great toy would highly recommend to anyone thinking of buying.

Beautiful detail only one fault,i think the roof should have been a bit thicker like the Sylvanian tree house......
Good but comes apart easily

This sylvanain caravan is a very nice but expensive. My sister got this for her ninth birthday and as she approaches ten the caravan has fallen apart quickly. The top came off easily and all the accesories were lost fairly quickly. I think if you are going to buy this you should make sure you can keep all the little bits and bobs together and you must be extremely careful with it. I think if you are going to buy a caravan buy the newer version.

My Grandaughters wanted this for Christmas. I believe it is overpriced and very flimsy. She was pleased with it. Hope it gets used
